RARE Naga conch shells are white conch shells harvested mainly from the sea coasts of India and Pakistan. They are especially favored by the Naga people, an ethnic group comprising of several tribes native to the northeastern part of India and north-western Myanmar (Burma). The tribes have similar cultures and traditions, and form the majority ethnic group in the Indian state of Nagaland. Highly prized for use in Tibetan jewelry and mala beads. 18mm diameter for the large round shells, the amazing shank shells are 20mm. 28” length. 11oz weight.
